Every Thursday between 3pm and 4pm, a member of the family department from Sills & Betteridge attends a drop in clinic to offer help, support and guidance to anyone who may need some initial information and assistance in relation to family matters. Sills & Betteridge have a large family team consisting of over 30 members spanning over 18 offices across the Midlands, specialising in all areas including divorce, finances, children matters and domestic abuse. If you have any questions or queries of a family nature, then Sills & Betteridge will be very happy to help you during their weekly drop in clinic. You will not be charged for this appointment.
Love Your Neighbour is a national alliance of churches and other organisations, playing their part on the frontline of social transformation in cities, towns and communities across the UK. At St Swithin’s Lincoln we run a Love Your Neighbour hub to support people in need across the city. We host a free community cafe on Thursday mornings from 10.30am to 1pm at the Salthouse on Free School Lane, where guests are provided with free coffee, cake and activities, as well as a heavily discounted baked potato lunch. In addition, we run Kintsugi Hope Wellbeing Groups, Money Coaching Courses, a Night Light Cafe on Saturday nights from 7-10pm for people struggling with their mental health, and run campaigns to support people over Christmas and Easter. The Oasis Family Support team offer confidential one-to-one support to adults, children, young people and families across Lincolnshire who have been, or are being, affected by a family member using drugs or alcohol.
Oasis recognises that substance use can affect anyone within the community.
It doesn’t just affect the individual and can have a devastating effect on the whole family.
The team provides much needed emotional support, wellbeing advice and a non-judgmental listening ear to allow individuals to fully express themselves and begin to work through the challenges of their situation.
Lincolnshire Specialist Domestic Abuse Service (LDASS)
The Independent Domestic Violence Advocate (IDVA) provide a specialist service for those aged 16 and over, who have been referred to a Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conference (MARAC), and are deemed high risk of harm. Their job is to advocate with the aim of reducing the risk posed by those who harm and make sure the survivor and family are safe and able to recover and rebuild their lives.

LAT Volunteering and Mentoring
Volunteers can be an important way to help create a warm and welcoming environment for our Women’s Support Group. A volunteer can support the day-day running of the group, working alongside Rise practitioners to focus on giving attendees the tailored support they need.
Our Mentoring Service matches women with individuals that have shared similar experiences or are passionate about working alongside women to empower and inspire them. Our mentoring project matches clients with a dedicated mentor who work together to identify goals and work together to support a woman towards achieving their goals; this could be
Many of the women who become volunteers to support RISE have accessed Women RISE or other support services themselves, the skills and self-development they have gained through accessing the support they need when they need it has motivated them to want to help others in similar circumstances.
NHS Mental Health Practitioner Drop-In
A mental health practitioner is offering drop in sessions. This can be to discuss an on going problem or a new problem. The mental health practitioner will be there to support you by listening and possible help with signposting and onward referrals. This is not a counselling service but somewhere for someone to listen and help point you in the right direction for support.
You don’t have to be under a mental health team to access the mental health practitioner. The mental health practitioner who is attending these drop in session will be part of the IMP PCN this means that if you are registered by one of the nine GP practises covered they can support you in accessing a formal appointment with a mental health practitioner at your GP.
This service will be provided every other Thursday afternoon more information can be provided by the rise team.
LAT Women's Service
Lincolnshire Action Trust works Ministry of Justice to deliver a women’s service for the Greater Lincolnshire area. We offer a range of one-to-one and group delivery, working with women both pre-release and in the community.
Our Women’s Service operates across Greater Lincolnshire and delivers a variety of support and courses within a confidential and safe environment.
Every woman accessing the Women’s Service will be assigned an individual Key Worker to offer support and guidance about a wide range of needs including: health, relationships, housing, parenting, substance misuse, benefits and debt, domestic abuse, education, employment, confidence building and groups.
