Welcome to the Women RISE Project. We aim to work with women at risk of entering the Criminal Justice System. This includes, but is not limited to: women in unhealthy and potentially violent relationships, women who are awaiting court, those who have admitted offences even if they have not been prosecuted, women who’s partner is at risk of entering or has entered the criminal justice system, women who have peers and known associates in the criminal justice system, women who have previously been in the criminal justice system, and many more.
If you do not feel as though you are at risk of entering or re-entering the criminal justice system, please still feel welcome to put through a self-referral. If we cannot help, we can support you to access other services that can.
You may know a woman at risk of entering the criminal justice system and think that she may benefit from additional support to prevent things from getting worse. Following a referral, we aim to contact the client within the next 10 working days to arrange an initial appointment with one of our RISE Practitioners who will assess if we can help.
Please note that we may be in contact with you to discuss the referral further. In the meantime, if you have any questions, you may contact the service on 01522 806626.
